BT-Personal Safety and Social Responsibility

The Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) course forms part of the mandatory basic offshore safety training for all seafarers assigned safety or pollution prevention duties. 

You will learn how to comply with emergency procedures and take precautions to prevent pollution of the marine environment. You will also be able to observe safe working practices and get some guidelines on how to contribute to better communication and relationships onboard.


BT-Elementary First Aid

This Elementary First Aid course covers the mandatory competences and the required knowledge, understanding and proficiencies prescribed in Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-3 of the STCW Code.

The aim of the Elementary First Aid course is to give all persons intending to go to sea a basic knowledge of the immediate action to be taken upon encountering an accident or other medical emergencies at sea.

This STCW elementary first aid course module is a combination of theory and practical training for basic first aid and life saving skills. This course is intended for all seafaring personnel who need to be able to practice elementary first aid on board ship. It comprises the knowledge required in STCW 95 Table A-VI/1-3 and provides an introduction to the principles of first aid. It shows how to respond to the most common medical emergencies.
